Translunar

Years after intelligent machines depart Earth and resettle on the moon, two scavengers devise a way to capture an AI surveillance drone and sell it to the underground Resistance movement.

What seems like an easy score quickly escalates to life-or-death stakes as the scavengers realize that the machine's response is more than they bargained for.

About the imprint

Stories from the inside looking out

This Is It is a creator first comics imprint founded by filmmaker Ben Nabors. We publish character driven, regionally anchored science fiction and fantasy. With roots in narrative film, the label explores emotionally complex, genre adjacent stories that are crafted for the page, designed to grow, and made to last.

Books come out through Kickstarter, where readers meet them first, and stay in print through Group Theory afterward. The model is simple. Finish the book. Print the book. Then sell the book. Readers are the point. Everything else is machinery.
